Find your fountain of youth
How to keep your skin young
Most of us want to feel and look young as long as possible, but that gets harder as we get older. So, how to look younger, feel better and be healthier? It’s mostly about building a foundation from the inside-out with these strategies:
Protect yourself from the sun. You're accumulating sun damage almost every time you go out in the sun and this damage doesn't wear off. You can protect yourself by wearing sunscreen and hat or simply by staying in the shade between 11am and 4 pm.
Stay away from smoking, alcohol and junk food.
All processed foods, especially sweets is pro-inflammatory and can affect your metabolism, and result will show on your aging organism and dull skin appearance.
"Alcohol's first effect is dehydration, as it actually takes all the fluid out of the skin and creates the redness of the skin.
'During the last 20 years, at least five studies have examined the association between cigarette smoking and facial wrinkling. Although there are methodological concerns with each of these studies, the data are consistent with the conclusion that smoking causes skin wrinkling that could make smokers appear unattractive and prematurely old.' Eat healthy. The key elements to natural skin care are essential fatty acids like omega-3s and omega-6s because these fats are the building blocks of healthy cell membranes. Also don't forget to load up with free-radical fighting antioxidants. Human Nutrition Research Centre at Tufts University in Boston have come up with a list of 25 top antioxidant food; and prunes, raisins, blueberries, blackberries and garlic are leading five.
Use proper anti-aging creams. Retinol is clinically proven wrinkle-reducer. You can find this topical vitamin A derivative in many cosmetics products.
Exercise daily. Exercise is a good way to a firmer skin, because working-out infuses skin with oxygen and nutrients.
Get beauty from your sleep. Skin makes new collagen when you sleep, which prevents sagging according to Patricia Wexler, MD. 6-8 hours of sleep means that your skin is plumper and you can look younger.
Drink water. If you can, avoid all other beverages, even fruit juice. Drink quality water. Water transports the nutrients into your body cells. You can choose informed water from i9bottle.
